I've been a bodybuilder for about 24 years and have always carried fat in my upper arms. It was hard to see definition except when I dieted down for a show so I thought SmartLipo would be good way to get this. It was!

I'm 5'1" and weigh about 118lbs. I had surgery 4.5 weeks ago and still have lumpiness and some discoloration but I'm sure this will improve during the next few months.

I do have some nerve pain and inflexibility but with some work that has improved dramatically in the last two weeks. I do have to add, however, that although the surgery was not very painful, nor the recoup, it is taking longer than I thought. It was very painful to take the compression suit on and off each day for a shower (make sure you have two) and I did take the pain meds for about 2 weeks to do this but I think it was worth it. The discoloration that I have is slowly starting to recede.

One piece of advice that I would give is to make sure this is done by a plastic surgeon.

Had smartlipo 7 months ago. Am not happy at all. I feel as though this particular promissed me the moon and the results were such that if anything, I came out with an even worse body. No weight was lost.

The doctor told me I was a Perfect candidate because I was not that fat and that the proceedure would "sculpt" me. Not the case. I am mad at myself for not getting second opinions with other smartlipo doctors which i have since done.

This particular doctor was so money hungry that I received 3 phone calls reminding me to "bring in the cash" on my pre-op visit. Awful. Awful experience.

OK….like all women we just can't be happy how we are

I had smart lipo done because I could not lose my flanks or as my husband calls it my muffin top HAHA

I'm 5'7 and the day of my surgery I was 148LBS

Finally after my third time going to my doctor to talk to him about having smart lipo…I made my apt I had my flanks, upper and lower abs done.

My apt was January 6TH

I choose to be put all the way under.

After I left the doctors office I went home and went to bed. The next day my body was sore but nothing what I thought is what was going to be like.

Later the day after surgery my mother and I went shopping at the mall. I never once had to take a pain med. I've been rubbing my areas with vitamin E.

I forgot to tell you. The day of surgery I had a lot of draining and the next it wasn't as much.  I bruised all over. On my left side I bruised really bad but it's starting to look better.

I can tell that I had smart lipo done but of course the results take time.

In April we are going to Cancun so hopefully I'll be good to go.

February I'm starting a boot camp class so that will help me.

I would have smart lipo done everyday of the week if I could.

HAHAHA

I had smart lipo on my inner thighs and knees about a week ago. Im 20 years old, 5'7" and about 145 lbs and a very true hour glass figure. I've always hated my knees and had a fat pocket that was about 1.5" on my inner knees.

I am a pretty queasy person so i did general anesthesia and have no regrets. instantly i could tell that my knees and thighs were smaller. i wasnt in any pain when i woke up and felt a little sore when i got in the car and on the way home. i was mostly nauseated from the anesthesia which lasted about 24 hours. because of the nausea i wasnt able to start walking around until the second day which made a huge difference in my recovery. the nurse gave me some pads to bring home for the discharge which lasted for a couple of hours after the surgery. from the start, i am not in pain as long as i dont move. when i do move i am in the most pain which i am standing up or getting out of bed. i had some pain the first three days from the stitches in the back of my knees.

I am currently 6 days out from the procedure and i am still pretty swollen and sore but the difference is clear. I got my stitches out yesterday and it made a huge difference in my comfort level. although still swollen my knees no longer have a fat pocket and my thighs dont touch and are significantly smaller than before. I was warned that the knee was uncomfortable in recovery and compared to the thighs it is from my experience. I have just started to lightly bruise today, although it is really minor. I am really happy with the results and excited for the swelling to decrease.

I had my knees and saddle bag area done by Dr. M on 12/3/10. He's a fantastic surgeon and I know he has an immense amount of experience. I trusted and still do trust him immensely.

However, I wish that I would've been told the knees would be painful! I was told it would be like a work out. Well, this Friday is 4 weeks and I am up at 3am because the pain is still so great. I am stiff and my skin is sore to the touch.

I get shooting, hot pain and the inner knees are very very sensative. I am a bit frustrated right now because I have to wear my garment still and of course, it's impossible to wear jeans with this thing – just waaaay to tight.

I need to know if anyone else out there has had their knees done? If so, what was your experience with pain and healing? Am I normal or abnormal that almost 4 weeks in, I am still in a fair/great amount of pain and discomfort and my knees are quite swollen. Thanx for your input!

I do see a good difference, and I'm told again to wait 3 to 6 months. I'm not worried about waiting for the "look." I'm patient with that. What I am concerne about is if this pain will ever go away.

This was my second time working with Dr. B. I had a breast augmentation done back in December 2007, I was 19 years old. I choose a small implant only about 300 cc. Dr. B did a wonderful job and I have been really happy with the results. Almost four years later I was having trouble getting rid of pockets of fat on my i/o thighs. After doing some research on smart lipo, I knew there was only one doctor for me! I had the surgery done yesterday so I am still sore and have not been able to see the full effects yet.

Don't trust those commercials about offering surgery at discount prices. Pay the money for a real doctor and you will receive real results.

Hi i'm 42 and have considered this procedure for a LONG TIME. I have maintained my weight for 3 years now, would (as always) like to be slimmer, but i'm happy to maintain year after year. I had a c-section but have always had flabby abs. I'm having it 'all' done. Upper/lower abs, bra/flanks fat, chin/neck, under arms and the inner thigh holds at a maybe. My downpayment is DOWN, and i'm ready to go.

Will post before and after when i get the chance. I'm nervous! But excited. I stand 5'6 1/2 and weigh 170, carrying the majority of my weight in my abdomen area.

I'm calling my doctor today and scheduling my appointment for Smart lipo on my abs and franks. I'm pretty nervous but its not of the pain or anything, its the outcome, if ill see any improvement. There is so many bad stories of it online that i almost want the old fashion lipo but pretty much no one seems to do it anymore . I am happy that my doctor will be using general anesthesia and not local. i don't want to be awake for it plus i hear you can get better results that way since they don't have to be as gentle. i heard a lot of people where in pain when awake.

Ill be asking the doctor to do this ASAP cause i want to get this done before my BF comes home for some R&R from Iraq

I tried smart lipo and had a lot of pain, swelling, discomfort and uneveness. I never really lost any weight in total. I just lost an inch on my left side and gained half an inch on my right side !

I moved to Lipo-Ex Recently and have found that the uneveness is now gone. I have dropped two sizes and 10 lbs in half the treatments. There is zero pain, zero downtime, NO LUMPINESS ! My skin got tighter. And it's half the cost ! So, I'm sold. I feel the smart in smart lipo is for the doctors, not we the patients. I was able to get my treatments for lipo-ex on a special for $2500.

Hello, I am 21 and I am about 40 pounds from the weight I want to be and I figured this would be a great way to jumpstart to a new body. I really just have stubborn fat areas like my mid-section. I read a review on here (Jenn1227) and went to the same place. The doctor seems great and the people are real friendly. I am getting my upper/lower abs, flanks (love handles), chin, arms, "bra fat", back, and inner thighs. I went to Strax rejuvenation in ft Lauderdale and the doctor that will be doing my procedure is Dr. K so if anybody knows of him or his work I would love to here about it before I get the surgery.

Once I get the procedure done I will provide before and after photos

The price is great and they originally quoted $3,499 plus the IV sedation for $450 which was a total of $3949. They have great deals for when you pay all cash or get the surgery on certain days but because I said I would pay with my own money (not finance) the owner quoted $2,999, which is a steal for all I am getting done.
